About Me

gaynor bussell

I have worked extensively in the field of nutrition and dietetics, gaining experience in several areas including academia, NHS and private practice dietetics, the food and retail industry, public health and health charities.  Many of my roles have also involved public relations, food science and dealing with the regulatory side of food and health.  My nutrition knowledge and expertise have meant that I have built up strong contacts in academia, industry and the media, as well as being well recognised and respected in the area of nutrition and dietetics.

I am an established author, having recently written a book on women’s health, which has now become a best seller.  I have also written chapters in books, and published in journals and conference proceedings, as well as written articles for magazines and content for websites and received awards for some of my publications.

Although I have broad experience in nutrition and dietetics, I have developed specialist knowledge in many areas including women’s health, obesity, behaviour change, nutrition labelling andhealth claims.

I am a member of several organisations including the Health Professional Council, I am a Registered Nutritionist.  I currently sit on DEFRAs Family Food Panel, am regional co-ordinator for Bwrdd Cymru of the BDA and Welsh regional representative for the Association of Nutrition
